Successful track record of driving new capital investment within highly competitive environments resulting in over $5.7 billion of new investment and 34,000 jobs announced.


Mike Brennan

President
Near Southside Inc

Mike is president of Near Southside, Inc., the non-profit economic and community

development organization leading the revitalization of Fort Worth’s historic Near

Southside. This eclectic mixed-use district is home to six world-class healthcare

anchors and a rapidly growing creative sector. The widely renowned work of

the district’s artists, musicians, and arts organizations led the Texas Commission on the Arts to recognize the Near Southside as a state-designated cultural district in 2020.

Mike became NSI’s president in 2018 after leading the organization’s planning and development efforts for 12 years. In addition to initiating placemaking projects and administering the Near Southside’s Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ), NSI is also responsible for a wide variety of community-focused promotional programs,

including festivals and events that attract thousands, and a wide range of business assistance initiatives.

Mike received a master's degree in urban planning from Harvard's Graduate School of Design and worked in the City of Fort Worth’s Planning Department prior to joining NSI. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (Trinity Metro) and on the Fort Worth City Plan Commission. He was a founding leader of Fort Worth’s bike-sharing system and continues to be closely involved with its expansion.


Shawn Lassiter

Executive Director
BRAVE/R Together

Dr. Shawn Lassiter is a trailblazer in the field of racial equity transformation in Texas. As the Founder and Executive Director of BRAVE/R Together, she is dedicated to promoting personal transformation for leaders in order to foster a more just and equitable society. With over 10 years of experience as an educator and 12 years of non-profit development and leadership, Dr. Lassiter brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work. She’s most proud of being a mom to 3 amazingly beautiful children, Christian, Chancellor, and Destiny. 

She began as a high school science teacher and varsity basketball coach, then took on leadership roles as an assistant principal, school district leader, and professional development specialist. She served as Chief of Equity and Innovation for a state-wide education advocacy organization leading BRAVE/R conversation about race and racial equity in education.

Now, as CEO of BRAVE/R Together, Dr. Lassiter is leading the charge in 76104 to achieve health equity through education, healthcare, business and economic development, and housing. Her organization is committed to community transformation and is having a real impact in Texas.

She holds a Ph.D in Education Leadership from Texas Christian University, a Bachelor of Science and Research from Alabama State University, and a Master of Public Administration from the Forbes School of Business. She is an experienced and dynamic speaker, facilitator, trainer, and consultant who has partnered with organizations, non-profits, school districts, and institutions across the state to achieve racial equity transformation.

Stacy E. Marshall

President and CEO
Southeast Fort Worth, Inc

Stacy E. Marshall serves as President & CEO of Southeast Fort Worth, Inc. Prior to joining Southeast Fort Worth, Inc., Marshall served as President and CEO of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and worked in Business Development and as a Consultant for various nonprofits and for profit organizations.

Stacy, who was born and raised in Mississippi, in a small community with a big heart, has been an advocate for community growth his entire career. Stacy has been widely recognized for his leadership in strategic planning and growing businesses in the community with a grassroots approach.

Isaac Manning

Vice President
Trinity Works

Isaac Manning Jr. was born and raised in Fort Worth and is a proud Paschal Panther Class of 2010. He went on to continue his studies at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Isaac worked various jobs between graduation and his current role at Trinity Works including substitute teaching, landscaping, running for a law firm, and data collection for a geospatial software start up in 2015 called T^O. In 2017 he received his Real Estate License and began working for Trinity Works. The next year he began the Master of Science in Real Estate at the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated in 2020. Isaac is involved with ULI Young Leaders and Streams and Valleys. Isacc is also a Trinity Metro board member and Founding Board member of the National Juneteenth Museum.
